The British Department for Transport has relaxed slightly the rules for carry on luggage. The new rules are: Each passenger is permitted to carry ONE item of cabin baggage through the airport security search point. The dimensions of this item must not exceed: a maximum length of 45 cm, width of 35 cm and depth of 16 cm (17.7"×13.7"×6.2" approx) (including wheels, handles, side pockets etc.). Other bags, such as handbags, may be carried within the single item of cabin baggage. All items carried by passengers will be x-ray screened. Unfortunately the ban on liquids is still in place. I was hoping that was going to be lifted so I can carry a bottle of water to keep myself hydrated and a aerosol of anti perspirant. I will just have to carry at least three changes of t shirt and some wet wipes in my bag. Though now at least I know I will be able to carry my crumpler "very busy man" laptop bag. So my iBook will be well protected. Tags: carry on luggage Current Location: London, SE16 2YS Current Music: BBC Radio 4 Midnight News
